According to statistics, the vast majority of street altercations go to the ground. Throughout your training, you will learn essential techniques in order to properly defend yourself if need be. Additionally, Jiu Jitsu is based on the principle of leverage. This means someone much smaller has the ability to defend themselves from someone much larger if adhering to the proper technique.
